University of Delhi, Faculty of Law, Delhi 110007 conducts an Entrance Test for admission to 3 year Bachelor of  Laws(LL.B) . (This3year course is run through six semesters in all)Also 5-year courses. The medium of instruction and examination is English. A student has, however, a choice to take his examination   in Hindi. Instruction includes Seminars, Tutorial Work and Practical training programs. There is one examination at the end of each Term/Semester, the academic year being divided into two Terms. One paper is set in each of the courses prescribed for study and the examination in a paper is of three hours’ duration. Each paper carries 100 marks  
LLB Admission Intake
(I) the intake in LLB first year course is 1500 (500 at the Campus Law Centre, 600 at Law Centre 1 and 400 at Law Centre II). Of this, 15% and 7.5% seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates, respectively. The seats reserved for SC/ST candidates are interchangeable subject to non-availability of the candidates in the respective categories and shall be offered to general candidates in case SC/ST candidates are not available.
(ii) Foreign nationals having qualifying degrees from foreign universities are exempted from the Entrance Test requirement and may be admitted on merit against 1 % to total seats at each Law Centre. The admissions in this category will close along with other admissions
(iii) There is no reservation of seats for applicants in any other category.
(iv) If there are more candidates with the same marks/rank in the LLB Entrance Test than the number of seats available, admission is made on the basis of following rules:
(a) The candidates(s) securing higher marks I the qualifying degree examination (Graduate/Post-Graduate)will be offered admissions.
(b) If two or more candidates have the same percentage of marls in the qualifying degree examination, the elder in age will be offered admission
(c) If admission cannot be made under the above rules, the seats will be offered by a draw of lots for which the concerned candidates may be invited
(d) The admission on the basis of above rules will be made only among the candidates who have given there option for the Law Centre to which the admission is to the made.
(V) The intake of 1500 is strictly maintained.
(Vi) Subject to the other provisions of the prospectus, all admissions except that of foreign nationals covered under Rule (ii) above, are made strictly according to the Law Centre given by the candidates for admission.
