About the society
Briefly speaking, the Indian Society of International Law is an national Institute committed to foster higher studies and research in International Law and to promote the pursuit of justice under the rule of the law I the International Community. It was established as a registered society and as an autonomous body in 1959 mainly through the pioneering efforts of the late Shri N.K Krishna Menon, late Shri G.S. Pathak, and some scholars who also ensured its sustained growth, having had a vision and clear perspective of India’s creative role in international relations based on rule of law and social and economic justice.
