International Law and Diplomacy, which the academy has been conducting for more than three decades, has been found to be immensely useful to Diplomatic Personnel Government Officials practicing advocates and university candidates Preparing for competitive examinations.
Human Rights, International Humanitarian & Refugee Laws, Introduced with the Financial and Technical support of UNHCR, ICRC & NHRC ,would be useful to university students, practicing advocates, social activists and persons associated with NGOs active I this area.
International Trade and Business Law is aimed educating Junior/ Middle level executives in the public and private sectors about the Global and national legal frameworks that are being developed in response to the world-wide trend of liberalization and globalization of national economies.
Private International Law is aimed at imparting knowledge to young lawyers in matters concerning transactions involving Foreign Laws and foreigners in Indian in context of GLP (Globalization, Liberation and Privatisation) besides matters in the area of Matrimony and Law of Obligations.
Rules and Regulation for the Academy Courses:
Eligibility for admission-Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University. However, a degree in law is desirable.
Course of Study-The Syllabi for the course of study are prescribed from time to time.
Academy courses ad examination – the candidates are required to pursue regular courses of study to entitle them to appear in examinations at the end of the sessions.
Instructions for the Course in International Law and Diplomacy are five days in a week. Ehereas for the Course in Human Rights, International Humanitarian and Refugee Laws classes are held thrice a week. The classes are held from 6 P.M. to 7.30. P M
Candidates are required to attend not less than 2/3rd of the lectures. The medium of instructions and examinations would be English. Rules relating to Examinations of the Academy
(i) Candidates of the Course in International Law and Diplomacy is required to appear for an exam . in the following three papers
       (1) International Law;
       (2) The Law of International Institutions ;and
       (3) Diplomacy
Every candidates of the course in Human Rights, International Humanitarian and Refugee laws is required to appear for an examination in following three papers (1) Law of Human Rights; (2) International Humanitarian Law; (3) International Refugee Law.
Rules and Regulations for Delhi University Diplomas: The following two Diploma Courses, as stated earlier, are being conducted by the Academy in collaboration with the University of Delhi
Diploma in International Law and Diploma in Law of International Institutions: Eligibility: The candidates seeking admission to either of the courses should have passed a bachelor’s degree examination of the University of Delhi, or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto.
The Instructions for each of these Courses are twice a week from 6.00 p.m. to 7.30.p.m.
each student is required to attend not less than two-thirds of lectures delivered during the year
The medium of instruction and examinations is English.
Examinations: are conducted by the University of Delhi.
Awards: There is a provision for award of
V.K. Krishna Menon Memorial Prize to candidate who obtains the highest aggregate percentage of marks in the Academy’s Diploma Exam in international Law and Diplomacy with 60% marks and above.
Dr.K Krishna Rao Gold Medal:is awarded to the best student of the Diploma Course in International Law conducted by the Academy on behalf of the University of Delhi
