Delhi University Law Degree

(1) LLM Two Year (Four-Terms)Course: This is whole-time course only for those who are not in employment or otherwise engaged in any trade,profession,buainess or occupation.
(2) LLM ThreeYear (Six Terms) Course: This course is meant for all including those who are employed or otherwise engaged in any trade, profession, business or occupation.
LLM Admission Intake (subject to change)
(i) The intake in L.L.M First year course is approximately 65(two year course 30 and three-year course 35). Out of this ,15% and 7.5% seats are reserved for the candidates belonging to Sc/ST respectively. The seats reserved for SC/St candidates are interchangeable subject to non-availability of the candidates in the respective categories and shall be offered to general candidates in case SC/ST candidates are not available.
(ii)There is no reservation of seats for candidates in any other category
(iii) The intake of 30 and 35 is strictly maintained
(iv) Admission are made strictly according to the merit in the L.L.M . course and appear in the LL.M .Entrance Test who fulfilled the following requirements regarding educational qualifications and ages
(a) (i)All candidates having a three-year/five-year LL.B. degree from the University of Delhi or any other Indian or foreign university recognized as equivalent by the University of Delhi with at least 50% marks or equivalent grade point in the aggregate.
(ii) The candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe having a three-year/five-year LL.B Degree from the University of Delhi or any other Indian or foreign university recognized as equivalent by the University of Delhi with at least 45% marks or equivalent grade point I the aggregate.
Notes(1) The candidates appearing in the LL.B Degree examination or awaiting the results of any such examination are also eligible to appear in the LL.M .Entrance Test provisionally but they cannot be considered for admission unless they produce proof of their having secured the above percentage of marks making them eligible at the time of admission.
(2) Rounding off a fraction of marks is not allowed.
(3) There is relaxation/weightage of marks in eligibility or admission to candidates belonging to sports, physically handicapped persons or any other category.
(b) A candidate who does not complete 22 years of age before October
(i) is not eligible for admission to LL.M. The Vice-Chancellor may, on the basis of individual merits, relax the age up to a maximum period of one year.
(ii) No candidates is admitted to LL.M course unless he/she has secured at least 50% marks (40% in case of SC/ST candidates in the LL.M. Entrance Test. This requirement is strictly adhered to even if the seats remain vacant
Entrance Test for LL.M
(1) The LL.M Entrance Test is held Faculty of Law,Chhatra Marg,University of Delhi, Delhi 110007 during June.
(2) The test paper includes question of descriptive type as well as objective type with multiple choice in seven areas: I(ndian Constitutional Law; Jurisprudence; Law of Contracts(General Principles); Law of Torts; Indian Penal Code; Public International Law (Law of Peace)and Law of marriage and Divorce.
(3)The selected candidates may also be required to appear for a viva voce examination.
(4) The instructions to candidate4s are given along with the prospectus.
